8BY8 SPORTS

We are delighted to announce, that 8BY8 is officially adding to its coaching services, with the introduction of multiple sports coaching in local schools.

We’re proud to currently offer specialist football coaching and have built up a reputation for outstanding practice within this field. With the introduction of Warren Clarke to our full time coaching team, who has vast experience in delivering PE curriculum sessions, extra curricular sport sessions, and managing sports programmes, we’re keen to expand our services.

We've always believed in the importance of sport in children's daily lives and the physical, social and psychological benefits it provides so this addition to 8BY8 is an extremely exciting one.

Participation in sports during primary school years not only promotes physical health but also significantly contributes to cognitive development. Studies have shown that engaging in regular physical activity through sports enhances brain function, improves concentration, and boosts academic performance among children.

Likes most about PE coaching:

I'm really passionate about sharing my love of sport with children, to help inspire them.

I enjoy seeing children grow and develop in self-confidence as they overcome challenges, by learning a new skill or sport. I enjoy helping all children thrive and enjoy a sense of pride in their achievements, no matter how small.

Why do you think kids sports coaching is important:

I strongly believe that positive experiences in sport and physical activity at a young age will significantly improve the physical social and emotional well-being of all children, and help build the foundations for lifelong participation in sport. Providing a wide range of sports within the curriculum enables more opportunities for children to engage and find a passion for something they love.

Playing sports teaches children key skills, such as perseverance and resilience which will help them in all areas of life. It also helps them to learn to control their emotions and channel negative feelings in a healthy way.
